Snapshots of my Life

There are so many events coming up for the last months of 2011. Bela's birthday party will be this November and then Christmas is about to come. Everything is already planned for Bela's birthday but of course, I haven't paid the whole amount for all the party stuff that I rented and this reminds me that I will need to order checks so I won't be able to forget the payment on the day of her party.

As of now, since my credit card problem just finished, I prefer to use my personal checks because I'm afraid that same thing will happen to me again. My credit card was hacked and it's hard to deal with that since the customer service of my bank didn't do a lot well during the process that it took them almost a year to resolve it.

Same thing goes this Christmas, I probably be using bank checks instead for the expenses. Our family is planning a short trip this coming Christmas or perhaps this New Year, which has been a family tradition already.

I just really have to save now because I know that there will be a lot of expenses to deal with before the year ends so I have to work double time as well.

My aunt works as an accounting consultant before she decided to resign from her work and try her luck as an entrepreneur. At first she was really happy as she has total control of her time and she enjoys the privilege of not having to work for a boss. But since times area bit though, her business is not doing really good and so she has decided now that she has to go back to the industry and work as a professional again.

She has been out of the loop for some time now and she knows that she has some tough competition with the fresh and new breed of graduates. Thankfully she discovered Accounting Principals, one of the top finance staffing agencies today.

My aunt can search the site of Accounting Principals for current job openings in the accounting field and my aunt can apply directly from the site. She can even upload her resume there so the employers can review her resume right away.

Aside from this service, Accounting Principals also offers career resources like web cast, articles, industry insights, white paper, salary look up tool, monthly economic report and more to help my aunt prepare her job and experience profile and take her career to the next level.

My aunt is actually excited to go back to the industry again as this is actually her first love. I am sure with the help of Accounting Principals, she will soon find the best job for her that will not only help her bring food to the table, but will give her job satisfaction and security as well.

For Day 13, of the 30-Day Photo Challenge, I was asked to post a picture of my favorite band/artist and here are my entries:

The Corrs.
They are actually my first love musical artist. I am not that into music as I rarely listen to the radio but I make it a point to buy CDs of artist that I really, really love like the Corrs. I have a collection of all their album and I even watched their concert when they went here in the Philippines to perform.

Next to the Corrs, I also love Alanis Morisette. Well I find her songs so cool and just out there without caring so much on how the world will see her song.

My last love is Elliott Yamin. I am not a big fan of American Idol but I got really hooked during his batch. He also went here in Manila and I braved the crowd to line up just to hear him perform.

My sister has been raving about digital perm for her hair. Actually, I don’t have any idea how that digital perm works and looks like so I tried to search online and found out that it is a treatment to curl your hair.

Anyway, I’ve been observing many girls having this kind of treatment and my cousin is one of them that’s why I’m not going to be surprised if I’ll see my sister with her curly hair and spending a couple of minutes putting her best beauty supply for her hair to maintain it’s moisture and shine.

She’s really planning to push through with this treatment but she’s a bit hesitant as she has straight hair ever since and she doesn’t have any idea on how it will look on her. But then, she just had a hair cut last month and she thinks that her hair is still short and the effect of the curl might not look nice on her so she’s thinking if she can have black hair extensions for now.

With these extensions, she will have the option to iron it to have a straighter effect or she can also curl it, whichever way she wants. I promised her that I’ll look for a beauty supply warehouse where she can buy her flat or curling iron for her hair.

Well, I can’t wait to see my sister change her hairstyle. This will be a very big change with regard to her looks.

For day 12 of my 30-day Photo Challenge, I was asked to post a picture of something that I love and this is my entry:


This is the satchel bag of my sister-in-law. Ever since my online friends introduced me to the world of satchels, I fell in love with it that I am putting it as one of my wish lists for Christmas with the hope that my Santa will grant my wish.

I would love to have the original Cambridge satchel in raisin but I heard that the waiting time now is 6 months, which I find very crazy so I might just settle for the local version of the Cambridge. Aside from the fact that it is cheaper, at least I am supporting locally made products and at least I don’t have to wait for 6 crazy months before I can finally get hold of it. All I need is just visit them in one of the bazaars that they will be participating (and I am sure they will be joining lots as it is the holiday season already) and I will be able to bring home my long-coveted satchel.

“When are you due?”

These are the words that felt right through my heart. Arrrgh. LOL A mom from my daughter’s gymnastics class asked me when I am due. Gosh, do I really look pregnant? There is no doubt I need sports nutritionist austin to help me get back on track, modify my diet and start eating healthy so I will get back in shape.

Well I don’t blame the mom. We are not close and she was just trying to make a conversation and maybe she thought that talking about my pregnancy would be good way to break the ice. Wrong…LOL.

I lose some weight already and I know that I am already back to my pre-pregnancy weight but my only problem is my bulging tummy that make me look like I am 4 months preggy.

Oh well. There is nobody else to blame but myself since I have not been conscious of what I eat. So I better start living healthy again if I don’t want to be mistaken as a pregnant mom forever.

Do you know what store has the new blackberry tablet? I am thinking of buying this for hubby as my Christmas gift for him.

He sold his iPhone a few months ago as we were a bit short on our budget to pay for the monthly amortization of our house. It was the start of our monthly amortization and on top of that, we are still paying for the house that we are renting while we haven’t move yet to our new house so we are still adjusting financially to our new situation.

But like what hubby has always told me, God will always provide and we feel blessed and thankful because we manage to survive during those though times. And I am really thankful now because God gave a new blessing and I have been receiving new work for my sideline which allowed me to meet my monthly quota and if my predictions are correct, I might earn a little extra to buy hubby my Christmas gift and I think that the Blackberry tablet will be a perfect fit for him.

The daddy would have wanted to buy a polaris rzr and polaris rzr accessories for the little boy for Christmas but I guess it has to wait for a few more years and instead we might just get him a motorized toy motorcylce or car which he loves to try every time we are at the mall.

Another option is the Vtech Toy camera which has a memory card so it can save and take pictures as he loves to play with his dad’s SLR and take our pictures. He will even ask us to make a wacky pose or he will do crazy and funny poses and he will ask us to take his picture.

I will be ordering this online but I might wait till the Black Friday sale with the hopes of getting good deals for my Christmas shopping. I really can’t wait and I am excited to start with my Christmas shopping for my kids.

For Day 11 of my 30-Day photo challenge, I was asked to post a picture of something that I hate and this is my entry:


I had severe conjunctivitis last August and I was not able to go to work for 3 weeks. The strain of virus that I got was so strong that even if I am using the best eye drops in the market, it did not help to kill the virus fast. And since I don’t want to spread the virus, I have no choice but to stay at home for 3 weeks.

This coincides the time when we were moving houses so I was not able to help much during the move as both my eyes are almost close and my vision is very blurry. I also hate the fact that I have a fear that I might pass the virus to my husband and my eldest (I got the virus from my youngest), especially since it is the exam week of my eldest.

And now after a month, I still have blurry vision and when I went to a doctor last Monday, it was found out that my cornea got infected which cause my blurry vision. There is no cure for this except to hope that my normal vision would come back after 4-6 months.

It is already less than 70 days to go before Christmas and in my part of the world, Christmas starts this early. You will see shopping malls all nicely decorated with Christmas stuff, radio stations playing Christmas songs and people are already starting to shop for Christmas gifts.

I normally do my Christmas shopping on the first week of December as that is the time when I get my extra money from our cooperative but as you may all know, that is a busy time already and malls are crowded with people beating the Christmas rush.

That is why as early as now, I am already checking out the "christmas gift ideas for her" section of redenvelope so I can find gift ideas for B’s teachers and my cousin and my aunt. Just check out some of their great items:

I plan to buy some of the gifts already so I can start wrapping it while I am still not busy. LOL. And besides, I have been in shopping hiatus for a while now so this will be my shopping therapy.

Aww, Christmas is really near. This reminds me that I have to start looking for a company where I can order our holiday photo cards, start shopping for gifts and it is also time to put out all our holiday decorations.

Actually, hubby brought our Christmas tree already from Bulacan and he was able to out it up already. The problem is, we still have to buy Christmas tree decorations as hubby wants to change our color theme for this year to match the color tone of our house. My daughter is requesting that we have purple theme and hubby wants blue. We will see. Whichever decorations are the cheapest will be the sure winner.

It is less than 80 days to go before Christmas and hubby and I are really excited as this year will be our first Christmas to spend in our new home. I am sure we will be hosting a lot of holiday get-together here in our home and we just can’t wait for it.

For Day 10 of my 30-Day photo challenge, I was asked to post a picture of the person that I do the most messed up things with and the first person that came to my mind are these people:

My SK Barkada. We were all young and single then and we care less for anything that we just party all night, get drunk like there is now tomorrow. I did a lot of crazy things with them. I remember there was a time that we went to Antipolo to get drunk (again) and we almost had an accident along the zig-zag highway as we were driving so fast with a drunk driver. Thankfully we are still alive.

But I don’t regret those things that I did with them in the past. I had fun and it made me enjoy my teenage years. LOL. And it made me who I am today because I learned a lot about life from them.
