Back to Fokalente

Looks like hubby is serious in pushing through again with his Photography business, Fokalente.

His passion for photography started only around 5 to 6 years ago when our eldest was born. He bought his first camera and covered his first event, the Christening of our daughter. Then he developed so much love for photography that he started to cover events of families and friends for free and he thought that he could have this as his sideline.

Through word of mouth, he started to get clients and his clients were so happy that they will refer hubby to their friends and families too and that is how he got at least 2 events per month.

But then he got busy with work when he got promoted that his love for photography took a back seat. But I don’t know what gotten into him that he started to talk about it again. He even checked tabletop displays for his plans to attend trade shows and he even created a Facebook account for his business and he has been uploading pictures of his past events to this account.

I know how hubby loves photography and I am glad he is back to doing what he loves again (not to mention the fact that he is earning on the side too. LOL).

0% Citibank Credit Cards

During Jacobo’s 1st birthday party, I hired a videographer and I was surprised to learn that instead of the usual video cameras that videographers use, they are using Digital SLR to take videos instead. I consulted my photographer friend and she told me that most videographers now uses digital SLR as the video captured are more crisp and high definition and is much easier to manipulate and edit.

My husband is a photo hobbyist too and he uses a digital SLR camera. When he found out about this new feature of digital SLR, he is itching to sell his Canon camera to upgrade to the latest model with the video feature.

Christmas is almost here and knowing that this is what my husband really wants makes me think to go through the credit card application process so I can get a new credit card which I can use to purchase the camera that I will give as gift for hubby.

I checked the site of creditcardapplications.com and I got really excited when I checked citibank credit cards and they have the best credit card deals like 0% card, cash back, rewards and more so I can use it to avail of deferred payment if ever I decide to buy the camera for hubby.

I am browsing the site now to compare the different credit cards so I can choose the best one that will give me the best deal and offer.

I am sure my husband will go nuts if he opens our gift for him on Christmas.

Busy

We have been very busy the past couple of weeks. Well for one, we are still unpacking and organizing our stuff and since we brought with us tons of our stuff (clutter), it has been almost a month already and we are still not done. We still have a few boxes left that haven’t been opened yet but I am glad that all our essential things have been taken out of the box already and are now arrange in their designated locations.

I am quite busy too with my online work as I received a lot of article writing jobs that is why we often just stay at home during the weekends to catch up with all the work that we need to do.

But hubby wants to take a break this weekend and is thinking if we can drive to Tagaytay. We all miss Tagaytay’s cool breeze, our food tripping sessions there and we are pretty sure that Bela misses riding the horses there and to wear his equestrian riding apparel.

As for me, I miss the hot chocolate and crepe from Bag of Beans. I hope that we can take time out this weekend; just us family, so we can take a break from our busy routine and just relax and enjoy each other’s company

My Instagram

I just discovered this cool website from a friend where I can get my Instagram stats, Statigram.com, and just look at some of my Instagram information:

IG Birth CertMore StatsMy Top Followers

I started with Instagram last January 22, 2011 so in just a few months, I will celebrate my Instagram anniversary. Even if I am busy, I will still to see to it that I visit my Instagram account so I won’t be left behind with the latest stories about my friends. In a way it is like our Twitter but better since each of my friends’ stories always come with a picture making it more interesting.

I will not last a day without logging in to Instagram. And I like it because it is like my microblogging platform as I can take pictures, add a little blurb and stories to it, and voila – a documentation of our day-to-day lives in photos.

My instagram account has lots of pictures and it reflects my joy, my frustrations and even my sadness. It is my sounding board as it is here where I share a lot about myself to my friends. A lot of times it has saved my sanity because this is where my friends post their support for me during those times that I always feel down.

And I get to enjoy all of this, all because of Instagram.

Her Reward

Quarterly exams are finish for our daughter and I just saw her exam results and she did well. That is why I am so excited to have my first PTC now that B is in Prep as I can't wait to hear the nice things that B's teacher has to say about her.

Hubby and I promised her that we would give her a reward after the exam as she really worked hard, reviewing everyday with her granny. Hubby actually wants to take her to Baguio as this is her request but we are not sure though if this is possible as her grand father, who knows the way to Baguio, can’t go with us as he is very busy.

Now hubby is thinking to get one of the dezl series of GARMIN GPS device so we can still push through with our plan and we won’t get lost on our way up North, even if my dad won’t be coming.

But this is still not a guarantee as we are still very busy unpacking our stuff plus our other duties and work too so we are not sure if we can afford to be away for at least three days.

But I am sure we can find other was to reward B, even if this Baguio trip will not push through. She is also requesting to visit the Science Museum in Mall of Asia so at least we have a back up plan (which is more feasible) so we can fulfill our promise to our dear princess.

Twins?

Did you know that when hubby and I were planning for our first child, hubby was hoping that he will be buy a Mountain Buggy Duet as he wants to have twins.

We actually don’t have twins in our genes so I am sure that there is no way that we will be having twins. We had a baby girl for our first-born and she was already a handful. Being first time parents, we are always in panic every time something happens to her like if she gets sick, or have cough and even the smallest and simplest things. We always run to our parents for advice and help when we were still raising our now 5-year old daughter, B.

So I was telling hubby that I might have gone crazy already if his wish has been granted. But come to think of it, our daughter has been our source of joy and inspiration and if we had twins, then we will have double joy and inspiration in our life.

But we are happy now that God has given us a baby boy and a baby girl and we could not ask for more.

Day 9: 30 Day Photo Challenge

For Day 9 of my 30-day Photo Challenge, I was asked to post a picture of the person who has gotten me through the most. Well definitely it will be my husband.

Mahilig pa din tumambay sa kanto at sulok

I feel blessed to have H as my husband. He is the most patient, loving, selfless, responsible being I have known. He knows when to cheer me up and he always has the right words to say to make me feel better. Despite the evils and the bad vibes in our life, he has helped me passed through all of those hurdles because of his always-positive outlook in life.

Just like today, I was feeling so mad and angry because of a very insensitive and selfish text from someone. I was fuming mad and he ran all the way from his office just to be with me, as I know how much I feel bad.

There is no other person who has helped me gotten through most of life’s hurdles but hubby.

Replacement Motorcycle Batteries: Turning our Junk into Treasure

Hubby went to our home in the province last weekend and he discovered that he still has his old motorcycle lying around there. He brought it there for storage since it break down and hubby was not able to find the time to have it fix.

He was actually planning to sell it to a junkyard but thankfully his elder brother, who knows about motorcycle, was with him and when he went there. His brother checked on the motorcycle and he said that hubby just needs new motorcycle battery and his motorcycle will be up and running again.

We really thought that it belongs to the junkyard already but thankfully, with the help of a battery store like Batterymart.com, we can easily buy discount batteries for hubby’s motorcycle.

Batterymart.com sells all kinds of replacement batteries including leading motorcycle manufacturers like BMW, Harley Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and many more. At least when hubby’s motorcycle is up and running again, we can use it for short distance travel whenever we are in our house in the suburbs instead of bringing the car every time so we can save on gas.

Hubby was really happy with the news as he will be able to turn what he thought was a piece of junk already, to something more useful.
