Tired

We always park our car in my mom’s garage as it is safer there compared to just parking it in front of our house. But for today, hubby did not transfer our car to my parents’ garage when we reached home as he is too tired already and to lazy to drive our car a few steps more to reach my mom’s garage (well maybe if my mom’s garage have garage door openers, then hubby might not feel lazy to move the car as he don’t have to exert extra effort to open the big and rusty gates and instead will just use the door opener).

But I can totally understand hubby as I know how tired he is. Just for today alone, he went to work, then went to Toyota to bring back our car for repair, then he work like there is no tomorrow in the office and then finally he fetched me in Makati. Who wouldn’t get tired after doing all of these activities.

So now hubby is sleeping like a log after eating a sumptuous dinner. So I better sign off now so I can soon lie down beside hubby and finally go to sleep.

Scary

A few weeks ago, I have to go to the office of the National Bureau of Investigation to get an NBI clearance as part of the requirements that I need to renew my security clearance at work. The nearest office of NBI from our place was the one located in Victory Mall in Caloocan.

I am actually not familiar with the place and I did not even know that such a mall exists until my sister told me about it. So my dad drives me there as he knows that I will surely get lost if he did not drive me.

The NBI office is already open even if the mall is still close. I went inside the mall and asked the guards about the office of the NBI and I got really scared when I was already inside the mall. Just look at this picture that I took:

Maybe it looks scary because the stores are still close and so the place looks really old and deserted. But thankfully I was able to get my NBI clearance that same day so I don’t have to go back to this scary mall.

On House Renovation

We bought a house from a relative five years ago. The design of the house was a little old fashion and outdated for our taste but since the price is so cheap, we still decided to go ahead with the purchase.

Now that we are finish paying for the housing loan that we got to pay for the house and lot that we purchase, hubby wants to renew our loan so we can start renovating the house to make it look a bit modern.

Hubby saw some nice modern design like siding system and a sunroom that he wants to incorporate in the new design of our house so I did some research and that is when I discovered Regal Home Improvement Co, a windows Richmond company. They have been in the business for more than 50 years now so we know that they really know what they are doing. And we know that we are making a good choice with them as they only use high quality products for their entire window replacement project so we are confident that it will last a lifetime.

Hubby is really excited and he can’t wait to start with our house renovation.

For Our Kids Health

B has cough for days now. We brought her to her doctor last Saturday and gave her cough medicine. Thankfully, she is doing much better now after taking her medicine.

My husband and I noticed that our kids get cough and colds frequently and we know that it can be because of the weather or because of the indoor air pollution. Never Be without a Great Cup

Every night I will ask our nanny to prepare a strong black coffee for me to keep me awake as I have tons of work to finish. But no matter how many cups I take, it does not have any effect on me as I still feel very sleepy that I end up just joining hubby and B and doze off to sleep too.

So I figured that maybe I should try a different coffee and so on my way home a while ago, I dropped by at Starbucks to get this:

These are Starbucks Via, Starbucks naturally flavoured instant coffee. They say that it is so good and taste like brewed coffee that you will not be able to tell if it is instant coffee or not.

I tried my first cup after dinner and I tried the Colombia flavour and it is a little too strong for me so I added lots of milk and sugar.

The cost of this instant coffee is P130 for 3-packs and P450 for 12 packs. They also have a promo no where you will get one free stick for every 3-pack stick that you buy.

I gave some to my dad and my sister and asked them to try it out so I will buy the 12-pack next time if they will like it.

Working Out

Hubby has been complaining of pain in his shoulder for weeks now. I have been asking him to go to the doctor to have it checked but he can’t find the right time to take a leave from work.

Thankfully, he was able to file a sick leave last week so he can visit a doctor. Their in-house doctor in the office recommends that he visit a orthopaedic doctor who can thoroughly check his shoulder.

Hubby had x-ray and thank goodness that he just need to exercise his shoulder for the pain to go away. Hmm, I think this is the perfect opportunity and the perfect reason to convince and inspire hubby to go back to the gym again to exercise and take muscle builders to develop those muscles and abs.

He has been postponing his plan to start working out again for more than a year now. He put his membership with Slimmers World on hold and more than a year has passed already and he hasn’t gone back to working out yet. I will really be happy if he starts going back to the gym again because aside from the fact that it will make my husband look really good with those muscles, exercise is really good for his health.

Starting tomorrow, B will already be on semestral break and so hubby was convincing me that we have a short vacation in Baguio while B is off from school.

I would really love to feel the cool Baguio breeze, enjoy the nice cabin furniture at Camp John Hay, watch B as she enjoys horse back riding, pig out and have a food trip at the best restaurants in Baguio and just have fun with my family. But I am having second thoughts as Baguio is six hour drive from Manila and so I am thinking if Jacobo can stand that long distance travel. He is only four months old and I know we should not be tiring him that much.

But this month has been very busy and stressful for my family and so I also want to take them out to unwind and relax. So what do you think I should do now?

Missing Hong Kong

I am booking for a room at Disney’s Hollywood Hotel in Hong Kong for a friend and I can’t help but feel jealous as I really miss Hong Kong and I would really want to go back there and bring Jacobo with us. My friend will be going there on January which is really a perfect time to go as the weather that time is a little cold so it is more comfortable to go around.

The last time we went to Hong Kong was November 2008 to celebrate B’s birthday there. If I have only unlimited funds, I will go there every year. But aside from funds, we were not able to go last year as I was pregnant that time. Now, Jacobo is still less than six months old so we think that he still can’t take out of the country travel like this.

Cebu Pacific, PAL and even Air Phil released dozens of promos for their International destinations but I just listen with envy as my friends shared the successful booking they have.

But my husband is always reminding me that I should just be patient and when Jacobo is already big enough to travel, we can go back to travelling again and explore new places with our kids.

For a Healthier B

I’m a bit worried for Bela as she has cough again. I’m wondering if it’s because of her too much activities that she’s becoming a bit worn out and over fatigue. So now I’m thinking if I should lessen her activities especially during weekends so she can have some time to rest.

Likewise, I can see that B is very picky when it comes to food so I guess she really lacks nutrients and that’s why she often has cough or cold. I decided to seek help from her pediatrician so we can make an early remedy for this. Her doctor prescribed a multivitamin for her that she needs to take for at least 3 months and if it still doesn’t work our for her, then her doctor told us that we have to force her to eat nothing else but veggies and meat and strictly no junkfoods or any food that contains preservatives.

Well I hope we can really discipline her to eat nutritious foods so she will have better resistance and she’ll be more strong and healthy.

Good Job

Before I research about website directory submission for the article that I am writing about search engine optimization, let me make a post here first about Smart as I was really amaze with their new service.

I admit it that I sometimes post here rant about Smart but it is just but fair that I should also post here if I am happy with their service. Just like this week where I was truly pleased and satisfied with their service.

When I woke up Monday morning, I tried to connect to the net as I need to check some information about the election but I was not able to connect. I received a disconnection notice a few days before that and so I thought that my service has been disconnected already.

I have tons of work to finish online so I really need an Internet connection so I paid my balance (and even paid one month in advance) that morning to restore my connection. After paying I called their Accounting office to report my payment and to request for the activation of my account. Unfortunately their Accounting office is close during holidays so the voice prompt just suggested that I just used their online facility.

I created an account in Smart Connect and sent them an email to report about my payment. I got a notification that if my request is valid, they will reply to me within 24-48 hours. But I was really happy because I got a reply from them just a few minutes after I sent the email to inform me that the connection in our area is good and that my account is still active and hasn’t been disconnected yet.

I know they only checked the status of my account and they did not do anything special as my account is still active but I am really impressed with their response time as I did not even have to wait or make a follow up.

I am really glad that Smart is doing steps to really improve their service.

Right to Vote

I exercised my right to vote yesterday. Though we were still required to go to work for 4 hours, I still went to the polling station straight from work to vote.

Hubby fetched me to work and we went straight to Jose P. Laurel to vote. There was no line when we reached our precinct probably since it is lunch break. I checked my name in the list posted outside of my precinct and proceed to the desk pf the board of canvassers to get my ballot. I noticed that there was no picture printed beside the names of the voters so anyone can easily make it as a flying voter. And we received a number of reports on this and a friend was not able to vote because somebody used hi name already. They checked the ballot corresponding to that flying voter and guess whose name appeared, RL, the one running for chairman who is being financed and supported by Cong. CL. Well it is no surprise really as it is the same trick used by that congressman to win the last election.

I am happy that I was able to exercise my right. Can I be assured that my votes have been counted? That I can’t guarantee.

My Love For Books

I always love to read books. Whenever I have free time, you can always see me reading with my paperbacks, hard bounds or even with the use of my iPhone. I buy ebooks from the net but now I prefer to buy from book sales since most ebooks are expensive especially if the authors are popular.

But lately, I have discovered that there is a Book rental site where I can Rent books in a much cheaper price. Plus, this is more accessible since I just have to select the book titles whether it is paperbacks, hard bounds or even Audio books on cd and they will send it to me by mailing it to our house for free depending on the number of books allowed.

In addition, after I’m done with the books that I borrowed, I can send it back to them without any charge and they will mail the new titles for me to choose from.

And so when I learned about this, I appreciate it a lot since this will also benefit me especially in terms of money. I am sure that I can save more money with this instead of buying brand new books from the bookstore.

We Heart Yellow Cab

Yellow Cab’s Manhattan meat Lovers.

Since I started going on a diet, I haven’t eaten pizza in a while now. But my sister offered to treat us with Yellow Cab’s pizza as her treat to us from her first pay cheque and so I totally forgot about my diet and I ate two big slices of this delicious pizza.

I remember I first learned of Yellow cab from work when my boss treated us with five big boxes of Yellow Cab pizza. Since then it has been my favourite pizza and thankfully they started expanding and so there are several branches of Yellow Cab that is near our place so we can easily call for delivery every time we crave for their pizza.

And looks like this week is a Yellow Cab pizza week for us as we dropped by at Yellow Cab again this morning to order #4 Cheese pizza for breakfast. We even have some left overs that we can still enjoy tomorrow morning.

Making Progress

Hubby really wanted to start with the renovation project of our house but our schedule is really crazy that up to now, we still haven’t found the time to look for contractors for the house renovation project.

But before winter season arrives, hubby wants to finish the replacement of our windows and so he contacted Renewal by Andersen, a replacement windows Boston contractor, right away so they can start with the project. Lunch @ Conti's

We really had a very long and tiring day today because of the activities lined up for Jacobo and B. But we ended our day sweetly after eating at Contis.

I have been craving for Conti’s Baked Salmon after I saw a picture of it that I took months ago. And since we are already in the Boni / Fort area, I really requested to hubby that we dine in there after Jacobo’s check-up.

Our appointment with Jacobo’s doctor was at 1:30 PM but his doctor had an emergency so he was able to resume his clinic at around 3 PM already. Hubby was really getting very hungry as our last meal was at 7 AM and he was suggesting that we just eat at the cafeteria of St. Lukes but I really want to eat at Conti’s so I asked him if we can just finish our doctor’s appointment and just have our lunch after that.

Of course hubby gave in to my request so I rewarded him with this:

I ordered Mango salad, Conti’s baked salmon and bottomless iced tea. Hubby ordered Gambas y Champinon al Ajillo for appetizer, American Ribs plus extra rice and bottomless iced tea also. I ordered for yaya and I let her try Chicken ala Kiev.

We were so contented and happy with our late lunch that it is already 9 PM and we still haven’t eaten our dinner. I am glad I was able to satisfy my long craving for Conti’s.

Good Decision

My husband and I bought a property five years ago from a relative. We really have no plans of buying a property that time as we just got married and so we don't have enough savings to purchase a property. But hubby really wanted to acquire the property as it is the last property owned by our clan so hubby is reasoning that it will be better if it will be transferred to a relative than fall in the hands of someone who is not family.

The acquisition of that property was really complicated as the Transfer Certificate of Title is still under the name of my great grand parents who passed away already. So we have to go through a very complicated process to transfer the title of the property to our name. Add to that the taxes that we have to settle before we can transfer the title to our name.

Bur hubby is really set in buying the property and so we decided to seek help of solicitors who are experts in property law. And we are really glad because with their help we were able to do all the legal process to transfer the title to our name.

It has been five years already since we purchased that property and I am proud to say that we have fully paid already the loan that we got from the bank to purchase that house and lot. And I am really glad we have made this decision as it is really a good investment and now we are thinking to build our dream house there.

Christmas is Here

Christmas is really just around the corner. Last week, we went to S&R for our grocery and the stores are filled with Christmas decorations, Christmas trees, and Christmas ornaments on sale.

B was asking me that we get new Christmas ornaments for our house but I still find it early to shop for Christmas decorations as we start decorating our house after B’s birthday because our house is still a mess and is still full of stuff for her party. So for five years now, it has been a hobby that we will wait for B’s birthday to be finish first before we put up our tree and our other Christmas ornaments.

I can’t remember our color theme for our Christmas tree last year but I saw really nice Christmas balls on sale so I might be able to afford to buy new Christmas balls so we will have a new color theme for our Christmas decorations this year.

My mom is really good when it comes to makeup and hair styling. But unlike my mom, I have no clue when it comes to this field. I can fix computers, I can make computers communicate, I can clean computer virus, etc but I have no talent when it comes to the fashion and beauty field.

But like what my mom and my sister is telling me, I should also learn how to fix myself especially since I interact with different kinds of individuals even high profile clients. And so I thought, since times are tough, I can even use this new found talent to earn extra too.

What I Learned About Breastfeeding

Today is Jacobo’s 4th month birthday and I am proud to say that I have been breastfeeding him for 3 months, 4 weeks and 1 day now. I didn’t really think that I can last this long as I have to go back to work but I am so happy that I was able to give my child this precious gift.

Now my plan is to continue breastfeeding Jacobo until he is 1 year old. For working moms like me, this will be a great challenge as I have to make sure that my milk supply will not dwindle so I can continue to breastfeed him for at least a year. So here are some tips that I learned and discovered on how to increase breast milk production.

• Even if I am at work, I still try to express milk at least every three hours so my milk supply won’t dry up. So I express milk at around 9:30 AM, at 12:30 PM during my lunch break and at 3:30 PM.
• I try to relax first before I start expressing milk. In the morning when work hasn’t piled up yet, I can express 4-5 oz but in the afternoon when I am already hurrying up to finish my pending, I can only express 2-3 oz. So I realized that the more stressed out I am, the lesser milk I will be able to express.
• I still drink herbal supplementary medicine up to now to help increase my milk supply.
• I drink lots of fluids and eat a balance diet.

I hope these tips can help other working breastfeeding moms like me.

Our Date Night

Last week, hubby was able to pick me up from work after he brought our car at the Tire Bay store in S&R for the replacement of our car’s tire. I was craving to eat something Korean and so I told my mom that hubby and I will just dine outside.

I asked hubby if we can eat at our favourite Korean restaurant for dinner but since there was heavy traffic because of the rain, we decided to just have dinner in any of the restaurants in SM San Lazaro.

It is like a date night for us and we ate at Chef D’ Angelo as we are both craving for their buffalo wings and I love their Caesar’s salad. And so, hubby ordered their two-pieces Buffalo Wings with Sweet and Spicy sauce while I ordered 1 piece Buffalo Wings with barbeque sauce.

My diet was ruined again of course as I was able to finish my salad, chicken and half rice. Oh well, my diet can wait for another day.

Back Up Plan

Times are tough and up to now a lot of cost cutting techniques are being implemented at work to save money. This only goes to show that the economy is still not doing any good and we can still feel the effects of the global recession. This means that I am still not secured with my job as any moment, my company can decide to let go of some of their employees to save.

That is why now that I still have a job and I am still earning enough for my family, I am looking at doing some gold investment by buying gold coin. I read from the website of United States Gold Bureau that investing in gold is a very wise financial move as gold has a very stable value as it does not depreciate over time. This means that it is a very good way to preserve one’s wealth.

I am praying that I will never loose my job as an effect of the economic crisis. But for now, instead of worrying about it, I would just make investments just like gold investment so I have a backup plan no mater what happens with work.

My brother and I are planning to expand our cell phone business and we want to include in our product line, laptops, cameras and video cameras. My Old Playground

Before I start searching the net on where I can buy romeo y julieta cigar for my dad as B and Cobi’s gift for him on grand parents day, let me just post here first some pictures of my school in college.

I have to go back to PLM to get some requirement that I need to renew my clearance for work. I asked my sister to request the documents two weeks ago and so we just dropped by at PLM last Monday to pick it up and I must say that it was really a nice feeling going back there. It reminded me of those good old days when I was still in college.

Hubby is from PLM too and so we went around to take pictures of our old school – from the field, to the classrooms, and even the corridors where we spent most of our time while waiting for our teachers. I was also surprised to find out that they already have a covered common area for the students (at least there was some improvements).

It was really nice to go back to what used to be my old playground.

Banana Leaf Dinner

We had a feast again at Banana Leaf last Sunday. We have to go to Robinsons Place as we need to settle some transactions with the BPI Express Banking center there. We left home late already (around 5:30 PM) as hubby arrived late from a conference. We asked my mom to tag along with us as my sister is out too so she doesn’t have to cook and we will just eat outside.

Every time we eat at Banana Leaf, we always order the Roti Canai with curry sauce for appetizer or the Roti Supreme for dessert. This is really one of our favorites. We also order their Fish dish most of the time but hubby said that we should try something else and so this I what we ordered:

Shrimp with mango
Crispy Spring Rolls Vietnamese style
Vietnamese Prawn Balls with Cheese
Deep Fried Squid flavoured in Homemade Spicy Garlic
Nasi Goreng
Nasi Goreng Nenas

Our favourite is the prawn balls with cheese. We like it so much that we ordered a second serving. The squid dish on the other hand is too dry and it would have been better if it comes with a sauce as the taste is just plain as it is.

Now I am already imaging where are we dining out tomorrow night.

Christmas Wish

Since there is really no way that hubby will buy me another bag after he bought me my first “G” bag and since he would rather buy me gadgets than bags, I am thinking of asking him to buy me an ipod instead as his Christmas gift for me.

I need something to keep me entertained while I feed Jacobo and so I thought that an ipod video would be a nice companion as I can ask hubby to load it with my favourite TV series and movies so I can watch while I breastfeed Jacobo.

I was looking at the iPod shuffle and I find it really cute especially the one that is color pink but I would really prefer the higher capacity iPods so I can load it with tons and tons of movies and videos.

I am sure my husband can’t say no to my Christmas wish for this year.

For His Kids

Toyota is having a Red Tag sale where they are offering big discounts for cash payment or low down payment or low monthly scheme for Toyota Vios, Innova and Fortuner.

My husband and his other siblings are planning to get a Toyota Innova for their eldest brother so he has something to use for business so he will have a source of income. He used to work as a Civil Engineer and he has been trying his luck for years now in looking for a construction employment but looks like luck is not on his side as he can’t find a good job that suits his experience. And since he has three hungry stomachs to feed and to send to school, he needs to have a steady source of income soon for his children. That is why hubby and his other siblings are already pooling funds to help their eldest brother.

Hubby went to Toyota last Friday to inquire and they will just review the quotations that they got and I am sure they will purchase the Toyota Innova soon so my brother-in-law can start earning money for his kids.

Cakes by Sugar Dots

Just look at this cake:

This is the house warming cake for the supposed to be house blessing for my brother’s house last week which was postponed because his wife gave birth.

But don’t you think this cake is so cute. Just look at the details of the cake – the flower pot, the dog (their pet Kurt), the dog house and even the details of the door and the windows. You can really see how much time and effort the baker put into this cake. But aside from the aesthetics, this cake is also yummy. I was fighting the temptation to eat sweets that night but the cake is really delicious and is so hard to resist. And you will not believe how affordable this cake is.

This cake was made by Sugar Dots. The owner is a school mate and a cousin of my sister-in-law. I can’t wait for an occasion when I can order a cake specially designed and customized by Sugar Dots for me.

Wanted 2nd Nanny

I am still on the look out for a nanny for my Jacobo. Currently I only have one nanny (B’s nanny) and thankfully she doesn’t mind if she has to take care of two kids while we are still looking for a nanny for Jacobo.

My mom is also always at home to assist the nanny but now that my sister-in-law gave birth already, she is also helping my brother and his wife in taking care of their princess since they are first time parents.

That is why I am really hoping that we can find a nanny soon for Jacobo. We actually prepared the room of our nanny already and bought futon covers so her bed will be ready any time she arrives. I actually signed up for an agency referred by a friend and they promised to provide us with a nanny this month.

So for now, we have to make do with one nanny and the help of my mom.

I Love- Hate Sale

I love sale. My friends can attest to that because I almost always end up buying something for me or my family every time there is a sale. But I only shop during the sale period online as I hate the crowd. So when we went to SM San Lazaro last Sunday, I was so surprised when I saw a swarm of crowd inside the mall and that is when I discovered that there is a 3-day sale on going.

We need to go to SM as we need to buy a brown shirt that B will wear for her class program the following day and since we still have a lot of activities in our to-do list for that day, we decided to go to the nearest mall for B’s shirt. But all the more it became a disaster as the mall was too crowded that it is difficult to look for the things that we need and there is a long line in the cashier. There is not even enough space to walk onto along the corridors as the crowd is just everywhere.

So I just picked the first brown shirt that I saw, paid for it in the cashier and instead of doing our grocery, we went straight to the church and left SM.

Investment = Money

I discern that I’m quite a shopaholic, but good for me, I still able to support my family financially because I know how to budget my money. I may not be the in right position to converse how to handle money properly for I know in my part that I fritter away a lot of money buying what I want.

I have a plan to invest on some other business and thought of considering gold bullion as a great venture because I've learned that it is an excellent source of money since its value doesn't depreciate easily. I suggested this to my hubby but I don't know if he will support this but then, I feel he will, since this will benefit our family especially our children.

As of the time being, I'm still studying the possible outcomes of the business that I'm planning to have. I’m looking forward to push through with this plan in view of the fact that this will be a great help in my folks financially.

Lucky Guy

We watched the John Mayer concert last Friday at the SM Mall of Asia Concert grounds. We only have the bronze ticket as the VIP tickets are so expensive and is really over our budget.

I should be watching the concert with my sister and her boyfriend, my cousin, my husband and my good friend Dennis but he ditched us last minute when he got free VIP tickets. I can’t blame him, VIP seats are the best as you can have a close up look of John Mayer.

And he is really lucky as he got the tickets for free only by just posting about the concert on his blog (I think I better start looking for free web directory to increase traffic on my blog and who knows, my blog might be chosen too for advertisement in exchange for free tickets). He was sending me SMS during the concert to make us envious of his fate. He was almost right in front of John Mayer. I was really green with envy. LOL.

But all is good. Just listening to John Mayer perform under the rain with the company of the important people in my life is definitely priceless.

My New Diaper Bag

My new diaper bag that I go from Faye arrived the other day:

This is the LeSportsac bag that I bought from Faye and you will not believe at how affordable this bag is. It arrived yesterday and I was really happy with it. I love the color and the design and most especially I love the size. It is big enough to hold the things of B and Jacobo for our short trips to the mall so we don’t have to carry two bags all the time.

I break it in already yesterday when I brought it with me when I brought B to her ballet class. It is so big that I was able to fit the following items in the bag:

• my HP mini laptop
• my big wallet
• my umbrella
• one bottle of milk for B
• changing clothes for B
• shoes for B
• snacks for B

And there is still enough room left for Jacobo’s stuff. Thanks again Faye for this wonderful bag. It is really a great web find.

Sick Me

I have not been feeling well these past few days. I can’t even stay up until 12 midnight to work since the bed is already calling for me. I guess I have been really abusing my body. It has only been three months since I gave birth via caesarean delivery and a lot of my friends are saying that I should take it slowly and relax as my body hasn’t totally recover yet. But since I have no choice, I have been sleeping less than four hours a day, then I have to go to work already and I still continue breastfeeding Jacobo. So I have been putting to much pressure and strain on my body, thus for the past weeks, I feel so sick and I felt that I have no energy left to do anything.

But I can’t be absent tomorrow as I still have a lot of pending work to finish like the installation of 1U server which I know can’t be postponed as it is critical for the everyday function of our company.

But at least I still have this day to catch up with sleep and rest before another busy and stressful weekend starts tomorrow.

Welcome Izzie Ramos

Yesterday was a special day for our family as another blessing was given to us by the Big Man up there with the coming of another princess, Beatrize Dominique Ramos.

She is the daughter of my brother and is the third grand child of my parents. We went to the hospital last night to visit my sister-in-law and our new niece and everybody was excited to see the princess. She got the eyes of my brother, and the cheeks and skin complexion from my sister-in-law. Izzie (as what we call her) weighs 5.7 pounds and is 18 inches in length.

I am excited also as Izzie is just three months younger than Jacobo so Jacobo has a playmate already. My brother and I are already talking about it and Jacobo and Izzie will be attending classes together like Gymboree, Little Gym and even swimming class. So we are both so excited to see this.

They will be going out of the hospital today and we will have a small welcome party at their house later so I watch out for more pictures here.

On a High

I am still on a high as we just watched the John Mayer concert last night at SM Mall of Asia open concert grounds. It was raining hard last night but that did not stop us from watching the concert and to see John Mayer perform live. (At least the concert organizers provided good outdoor lighting in the venue, so even though there was really heavy downpour, the concert goers and fans of John Mayer, which includes us, waited patiently to witness the performance of John).

We came prepared as we are armed with rain coat and umbrella so we can have a protection from the rain while watching the show. It was just a short show (less than two hours) and of course he can’t sing all his hit singles during that time period but it was still all worth it seeing John and hearing him perform live. Just like what I said, I am still on a high and truly had a good time last night.

I Heart John Mayer

Yesterday was a very special night as we watch the concert of John Mayer. It was raining really hard on our way to the concert venue and so there was really heavy traffic that we reached the venue an hour before the concert starts. My sister, who is also holding our ticket, arrived 15 minutes before the concert starts as she experienced heavy traffic too on our way to MOA.

Aside from the heavy traffic, the concert will be held in an open area and so the heavy rain is also one of our challenges.

But in spite of all of this, it was all worth it and we really enjoyed the concert as we watch John Mayer perform live and hear his beautiful voice and how well he played the guitar. He did not sing all his major hits but hearing him perform live and sing some of my favourite songs is all I asked for that night. This is really something that I will not regret doing again.

Getting Ready For The Future

I always wonder what can actually happen in the future? Well, who doesn't? I believe everyone wants to predict the future so we will be able to know how to deal and prepare for it.

As for me, I always think of what will my kids be when they are ready to start their career. There was a time when B told me that she wants to be a policewoman but eventually, she wanted to become a doctor. I would personally want her to become a doctor and I know that it will be a lot expensive when she takes that course.

So as early as now, hubby and I are really working hard to give them a great future. Aside from our jobs, we manage to have our own investments as well because these will surely secure us with our finances. We already invested into business and real estates and we are also considering gold coins as part of it. We all know that gold's value doesn't depreciate easily and it can always be converted into cash.

In these ways, I know that we will be able to have an assurance for the future of our kids and we will be able to give them the best.
