I know I need to search for
insurance quotes online but I really wanted to finish my research on possible venues where we can hold our Christening for our second child. I know it is still early to plan since the baby hasn’t come out yet and the oldies will not like it if they found out that I am already planning for the baby’s Christening. But I don’t want to be cramped for time for the preparations like what happened with my first child.
We wanted to have the Christening at least two months after I give birth, before I go back to work after my maternity leave. And two months leaves me so little time to prepare since I know that I have to book the venues early especially I want to hold the reception in a clubhouse where I can bring my own caterer.
We plan to have the church ceremony at Archbishop’s Palace again because that is where we had the christening of our first child and we like it there because we can have a private ceremony. So I am looking for party venues within the Ortigas, Mandaluyong or Libis area. So far, here are the venues that I have found after reading from the n@w archives and as suggested by my friends:
• Prestige Tower – The rental fee for the venue is waived if our food order reaches P15,000 and above. The capacity though is a bit small as it can only accommodate 150 guests and it is only exclusive to Baby Nathan’s Catering Service. I also read that it has a low ceiling so it is not quite nice for balloon decorations.
• The Malayan Plaza Condo Hotel just beside Discovery Suites. The rental for the function room is P6000 plus P6000 security bond but again the capacity is small (maximum of 150 pax only).
• I also inquired with the clubhouses in Valle Verde and this are their rates. I need a resident though to sponsor me:
1. Valle Verde 1
Capacity: 150 and 250
Rental Fee: P10,000
2. Valle Verde 2
Capacity: 200
Rental Fee: P7,500
3. Valle Verde 3
Capacity: 180
Rental Fee: P1,800 per hour minimum of 3 hours
4. Valle Verde 4
Capacity: 180
Rental Fee: P12,000
5. Valle Verde 5
Capacity: 180
Rental Fee: P8,300
• I also inquired with Club Filipino but they are asking for my fax number so they can fax the rates but I don’t have a fax here at home so I will just call them again on Monday.
At least I have listed down the possible venues. Hopefully, they will still be available when I book them as I know how in demand these club houses are. Now, I can go back in searching for insurance quotes so we can finally renew our insurance.
