Our New Year’s Eve
Last New Year, our whole clan decided to celebrate New Year differently by going out of town. We rented a guest house in Tagaytay and stayed there from December 31 – January 1. We left our house around 10 AM and we were in Tagaytay around 12 nn. We were allowed to check in early and since we’re all hungry already, my aunts and my mom prepared lunch in the kitchen. While waiting for lunch, the kids explored the 3-storey house: they played Twister in the garden, played billiards, while the kids at heart were busy watching TV in the living room.
After lunch, we all head at the third floor and started with the videoke which lasted, well until midnight. LOL. While the adults are having fun with the videoke, the kids were busy playing billiards and bingo. Then we had dinner and after dinner, we played parlor games like “Pinoy Henyo” and “Hep-Hep, Hooray”, and charades where both kids and adults joined the games. Thanks to our sponsor, Mommy Chairman and Jp for the game prizes.
After the games, we all went down a few minutes before midnight to welcome the New Year at the garden where we can have a good view of the fireworks. Since we are on top of the hill, we can all see the fireworks all around us which were a really beautiful site. The kids were able to play with their firecrackers also and the fountain which we bought in a local store downtown.
After the fireworks, we had our Media Noche and our picture taking per family (while we are all wearing yellow since they say that yellow is a lucky color for 2010).
It was fun to welcome the New Year this way, with the company of good food and all our family members complete. Really, I cannot ask for more.
