Weekend Snapshot # 15 - Snack Time

This picture was taken by my husband when we visited the Manila Ocean Park last Friday with my daughter. We caught this diver feeding the sting ray. My daughter was so fascinated by it that my husband took a snap shot while the diver was doing it.

As I was watching him, I was imagining myself and thought that I would probably panicked if a group of sting rays swim towards me. But the diver appears so relaxed while he was doing it and it even looks that he was really having fun.

B stayed in front of this aquarium for a long time as she watches the diver feeding the sting ray. She too was maybe amazed at how peacefully, humans and sea creatures co-exist. I wish we can go back to Manila Ocean Park again. I heard they have new attractions like the synchronized mermaid swimmers and the boat ride that has a glass bottom so you can see the fishes inside the aquarium.

Working from Home

I called in sick today and now I have a terrible headache. But I still have to log in to check my emails since I left one pending job yesterday and I have to send a follow up email to head quarters.

But it’s good since I can play with B while I work and at least I can save my energy since tomorrow will be our team building, Venue is still unknown but our facilitator said that we should bring extra clothes as we will definitely sweat a lot. That is always how our facilitator manages our team building exercise. The venue is always left as a surprise so we will really have no idea what is in store for us. But I am sure, after attending so many team buildings; this will be one fun activity for all of us. So I have to rest for this day and be ready for one busy and fun day tomorrow.

Lakwatsera

That’s what we are this Sunday. We started our day with B’s class at Little Gym. After class, we ate lunch at Banana Leaf. Then we did some shopping at the Podium. I can’t help but peep in at Gingersnaps store and they have new items so I was able to grab 2 pairs again for B.

Then we went to Baby & Co to buy the Baby Couture bag for my friend. We also did some shopping at Astrovision as my friend from LA also requested some OPM CDs. Imagine, we we’re charged P75 for our parking at El Pueblo since we overstayed na daw. We we’re only allowed to park there for free for three hours (kainis. Sayang din P75.)

After shopping we went to SM to do our grocery. Good thing B was able to sleep on our way there.

After doing our grocery, we went straight home as we’re all dead tired already. Another busy Sunday but I was happy as I was able to spend quality time again with my family.

Have a great week everyone!

World Record Destinations

I’m a sucker when it comes to trill seeking rides. I remember when my friend treated me to Anaheim Disneyland, they jokingly told me that it’s good that they didn’t bring me to California Adventure since I don’t enjoy roller coaster rides.

I dared to face my fear and tried riding the Space Mountain just so I can have a picture souvenir of me riding it. But I went straight to the restroom after the ride. LOL. I didn’t even purchase the picture since I was looking downward because I was that afraid. Since then, I never dared ride roller coasters again as I know how bad the effect is to me after te ride.

But if you are not like me, then you will surely enjoy the World’s Tallest Roller Coaster located at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, N.J. It is actually part of the World-Record Destinations featured at the MSN website.

Weekend Snapshot # 12 - Splash Safari

The last show that we were able to watch at the Singapore Zoo was the Splash Safari show. My daughter was so happy seeing Manitees in person. She always sees them on her books and watched it on her DVDs so it must have been one experience for her to see Manitees live. She was already sleepy when it was time for the show but she manage to stay awake as soon as she sees the manitees and sea lion in action.

Our favorite was Carlos, the Sea Lion. We loved all his tricks and he was really funny. They even invited a number of kids and adults to join Carlos on stage so they can have a personal interaction with Carlos. Too bad my daughter was not in the mood already so we were not able to volunteer to go on stage. She will definitely love it getting a close encounter with a sea lion.

Remember Me? Part 2

We were at Power Books in Trinoma for the Docu Fest of I-witness last Sunday. I was going around the bookstore with B while H lined up for the autograph signing of his DVD collection of the I-witness documentary. Then I saw the new book of Sophie Kinsella, Remember me? I really wanted to buy her new book but I planned to buy the paper back instead. But it is so irresistible and I don’t think the paperback will be available anytime soon and I really wanted to read her new book already. So I asked the sales staff if they have a new stock of the book as the one stored on the rack is a little worn our already. And they do have one. (So this must be a sign. LOL.) So without thinking, I swipe my card and purchased myself a new book. LOL.

I haven’t touched it tough as I was really dead tired already. Probably later, if B will go to bed early.

To SG

Ok, ok I admit it, I am an impulsive buyer. Well, I just learned my lesson because every time Cebu Pacific has a promo, I always think twice before booking and I would make a budget sheet first and I have to always make sure that we have enough budget for the trip. And when I finally decided to book for our airfare, all the sale seats have already been taken.

So when I received the text message from Pheng (thanks talaga sis) early this morning about the P888 international seat sale of Cebu Pacific, I didn’t think twice. I immediately checked the Cebu Pacific website, called H and confirmed with him if that date is ok with his schedule. And when I got a perfect schedule, I immediately book it.

So we’re off to SG. Actually, it is not really an impulsive buy since H and I are really planning to go to SG this year. We’re just waiting for the Cebu Pacific promo to book our airfare (but I didn’t expect it to come this early.LOL). But we’re really thankful for this promo as we we’re able to save P3000++ per person.

I’m excited already. I already started to scout for the best and affordable hotels and I’m already researching for our itinerary. Any suggestions?

On Diaper Bags

I just received a good news from my best friend in LA that she is already pregnant. Her sister will be visiting her there next week and so I’m thinking of buying something for her and her husband and ask her sister to bring it when she leaves next week.

I’m thinking of buying her maternity clothes, but then I know that she can buy cheap maternity clothes there and I don’t know what’s her size. And since I love my baby couture diaper bag, I’m thinking of buying one for her. My friend Jacq is very fashionable and “kikay” so I’m pretty sure that she would love to look sassy even with a diaper bag. So Baby Couture diaper bags will be perfect for her.

I have this two Baby Couture Diaper bags and I’m thinking of giving her the same style as mine.

.: Sydney 07 :.

I’m also looking at this style:
.: Madeline :.

I’ll ask Howell to drop me off at Shangri-La on Sunday to buy the diaper bag. Oh, I’m excited already (shopping really brings me a different kind joy and excitement. LOL).

I Want: Michael Kors & Old Navy

I made a promise to myself that I would try to save my earnings starting this February and would stay away from online shopping for a while (yeah, just for a while. LOL). So I decided to just post an “I want…” series here in my blog of some of the things that I will find while window shopping. A little window shopping wouldn’t hurt right?

When Peachy forwarded me a link for Michael Kors wallet, I can’t help but check out the bags too. Take a look at these two bags that I found and they’re on sale. Hmm, really tempting!!

And for the little girl, check out some of the cute items from Old Navy’s the spring collection.
