New baby is coming home

Our new baby is coming home. No, no, not our second baby (I am not due until July. LOL) but the new Canon 20D that hubby purchased is coming home soon. It is just a second hand camera that hubby bought from a colleague and he sent it to Canon last week for service maintenance. Hubby said that this camera will be mine (though I am not sure if I will be able to figure out how to use it.LOL).

He received a call from Canon the other day and it is now ready for pick up. It is really just in time since hubby will be leaving already next week. He said that it would have been perfect if we can have an Outer Banks vacation after his three-week work in Kolonia so we can travel with him and I get to try my new camera. But since I am already on my 6th month of pregnancy, I don’t think a long travel would be possible. Too bad as I am imagining already the spots that we can visit in Outer Banks and we can get to swim and enjoy the beach too while we relax at the furnished homes for rent in Outer Banks. Oh well, maybe next time. For the mean time, I will just play with my new toy and will take pictures of my pretty daughter at home.

Last Day of School Today

Today is B’s last day at MSS, her home for almost 10 months now. Their Moving Up day will be on Sunday but they are not going to school tomorrow as they will have a general rehearsal at the venue for the celebration tomorrow. So I decided to give the gifts for B’s teachers and yaya today.

I asked a friend who went to Hong Kong a few months ago to buy me Elizabeth Arden perfume, my favorite perfume, so I have something in stock at home. Since I was so busy the past few weeks, I did not find the time to go to the malls to buy gifts for B’s teachers and so I thought of giving them the perfume instead. Then we went to Becky’s Kitchen yesterday on our way home and bought a box of fudge brownies for B’s yaya at school.

B was really excited while we were wrapping the gifts last night. She said that her teachers and her yaya will surely be surprise when she hands them their gifts. She even personally wrote her name in all the gift tags that I attached to the gifts.

Hope they will like our gift. It is just our simple way of saying thank you for everything that they have done for B. B really learned a lot from them and B will surely miss them as B is moving already to another school this coming school year.

Go Satellite

My daughter is just four years old now and during this age, her brain is like a sponge and just absorbs everything that is fed to it. So we wanted to make sure that she just watches nothing but educational shows especially when we are out working and she is only left alone with her nanny.

One solution that we thought of is to subscribe to DirectTV so we will be sure that she watches only good and educational shows on TV while we are out. We looked around for the best Satellite TV Provider and that is when we discovered DirectSatTV.com. We checked out their site and they have amazing offers that is really irresistible. Imagine, for just $29.99 per month, we can get access to 150+ channels and 35 high definition channels. They even have an online promo where they give free shipping and 50% off for one year to their subscribers.

What’s good about DIRECTV is that all their channels are of digital quality so we are guaranteed for the best viewing experience. And it will not only be enjoyed by our daughter, but my husband and I will surely enjoy their service as they offer more channels which means more viewing pleasure for us.

All for the Pacquiao VS Clottey match

This coming March 13 will be the much awaited fight between Manny Pacquiao and Joshua Clottey. I wish I can afford to buy tickets to watch the live match but I don’t think we have the budget for that right now.

But you know men, boxing is one of their favorite things and so my husband is really keen on finding ways on how he can watch the fight. So to finally get the solution to his problem, we decided to get DirectTV.

We have been trying to look for DirecTV in our area and a friend who is subscribed to Direct TV NY recommended MyTVOptions. And I was really in awe because they have great packages to choose from and they even have an ongoing promo now where they will give their subscribers 50% for one year. Their cheapest package is really so affordable and it already includes access to 150+ channels and 35 High definition channels. Good thing there is Direct TV FL. All we have to do is contact MyTVOptions to subscribe to their service so we can get to watch the boxing match this coming Saturday night. My husband is one happy camper now.

Tsoko Nut

Last week, I had my annual medical checkup as a requirement for my continuous employment with my present company. Part of the laboratory exam was the FBS (Fasting Blood Sugar), which required me to fast for 8-10 hours before the procedure was done.

The night before my scheduled annual checkup, I had dinner at 8 PM, ate fruits at 10 PM and just drank water at 11:30 PM. The next day, I did not have breakfast so you can just imagine how hungry I am already when I reached the office at 8 AM. I went straight to the clinic to have the FBS done and as soon as I am done with all the medical procedures needed for the medical exam, I head straight to Tsoko Nut and have this for breakfast:

Hot chocolate drink and ensaymada with quesong puti. Every time we eat lunch at Tsoko Nut, I am drooling over the yummy picture of their ensaymada and I can imagine eating it with a hot cup of their famous chocolate drink. And so when I had the chance to eat breakfast at their store, I did not think twice on what to order and I was not mistaken because the ensaymada and the chocolate drink are so delicious. I really highly recommend it.

So next time you are at Tsoko Nut, do try out their ensaymada and their signature hot chocolate drink.
